As I wrote in a previous post the internet is like the California Gold rush! There is nearly limitless opportunity for people like you and me to jump in and make money by talking about and doing what we love! There are thousands of markets without a market leader and they are just waiting for people like you and me to come along and connect with them, teach them, and give them a place to talk about and share their hobbies, pastimes, and passions! So here’s the deal. I’m going to be experimenting with an idea that I’ve had for  [ Read More ]

I saw something that made me laugh today. I saw a website offering to give 2000+ back links in a matter of two weeks!! If you have ever built links really fast (as I’ve tried) Google generally isn’t a fan of that, especially with new sites. For example, I through up a site for a project I’m working on and landed on the 3rd page of Google with just minimal on page SEO stuff. I contacted my friend who has a PR4 blog and asked him to link to my site to help me out. He did, and as soon  [ Read More ]

In case you haven’t caught on yet, commenting on other people’s blogs is a great way to build links to your website. And as all internet marketers know (or will learn very quickly!) links are a huge part of getting your site ranking well in the search engines. Recently, internet guru Ryan Deiss released a free report called “Authority Codes” where he gave away some Google search hacks for finding relevant blogs to post comments on. I’ve found it quite helpful and I highly recommend that you read it. However, I did want to add a few observations that will  [ Read More ]

So it appears as though the clash of the titans has begun! Google and Facebook have taken aim at each other. Facebook has introduced search and Google is creating their own social media network. Facebook has taken their “like” feature to the next level by allowing website owners to place a Facebook branded “like” button on individual posts and web pages. Apparently Facebook plans on using this popularity contest as their way of doing search. In contrast to Google, where the website with the most authoritative links pointing to it wins, Facebook seems to plan on having more of a  [ Read More ]

I got started in internet marketing through first reading a book (or report maybe it was…) about how to grow a multi-level marketing company online. The report was called Magnetic Sponsoring by Mike Dillard – internet MLM guru extraordinaire. My friend Erik had bought the book because we had just gotten started in a new MLM in February of last year. As I’m sure many people in the MLM industry have come to realize, things would move much faster if leads were calling us instead of us calling the leads. With the aspirations of making this wish a reality, I  [ Read More ]

Marketing to small businesses seems to be the bees-knees these days. I’ve gotten dozens of e-mails over the last few months from top internet marketers like Frank Kern, Ryan Deiss, and Mike Koenigs who are either directly or indirectly pushing some type of system for doing internet marketing for small businesses. I would guess that if the “big dogs” are hot on this trail then it is definitely worth consideration. As it turns out, according to the research company known as The Kelsey Group, 97% of consumers are not using the internet to research businesses in their local areas before  [ Read More ]

Simply put, internet marketing is like the California gold rush. At least I feel like I’ve struck gold. Eight months ago I ventured out to learn how to make money on the internet. And I had no idea what I was doing… There was a book written by a leading economist named Paul Zane Plizer who wrote a book called The Next Millionaires.  In this book he stated that there were four major trends that we were in the middle of right now. They are the internet, home based businesses, the wellness industry, and intellectual distribution. Internet marketing encompasses two  [ Read More ]

It seems that unfortunately, there are many, many well intentioned people who are trying to make lots of money online by teaching others how to do internet marketing. The problem is that these people haven’t done it themselves so they don’t necessarily have the backing behind their philosophies. I understand their issues. I’ve nearly fallen into that trap myself. What happens is this: A newbie jumps online and says to his self or herself, “If I see another 19 year old make $300,000 a year online I’m going to puke! This can’t be that hard so I’m going to figure  [ Read More ]

As part of the 30 Day Challenge last year, Ed Dale had some new software that he introduced to help the newbies with their internet marketing. One excellent piece of software was Market Samurai which is an absolutely fantastic product. The other piece of software was called Traffic Bug. Traffic Bug is a fully automated social bookmarking tool, RSS Submitter, Search Engine Submitter, and Directory Submitter all in one which is put out by one Michael R. Roberts. The concept is brilliant! Which internet marketer wouldn’t kill for completely automated features like these? Furthermore, Traffic-Bug allows the user to set  [ Read More ]
