What Does Bonvera Mean?

Bonvera is the name of a new e-commerce company that launched in March of 2015. According to them, the word means “Good Faith” though the term “Bona Fide” more accurately reflects that translation (though doesn’t sound as nice and is much more common.)

“Veritas” is the Latin word for “truth” whereas “Fides” is the Latin word for “faith.”

“Bon” comes from the Latin root word meaning “good. You could see this if you think of words such as “bonus” (good reward) or “bonafide” (in good faith).

Either way you look at it (good faith or good truth), Bonvera hopes to live up to it’s name. In contrast to past experiences under different leadership where good faith was not always shown, Bonvera is setting out in Good Faith towards all who participate. The most obvious example of this is the creation of the Independent Community Advisory Association Board that is in place to help ensure that good faith remains between Associates and the company.
