About Marketer Matt
I’m a die hard entrepreneur with a great love for the one true God, a new business idea every 17 seconds, a high view of education and a low view of college, and a near insatiable appetite for organizing and orchestrating things that will have a real impact on our world for the better.
My First WordPress Project
Nearly a year ago (April 2012) I wrote a comparison of City Guide, GeoPlaces, Vantage, and GeoTheme on my brand new (at the time) website called There is a Theme for That. A few days later, I earned my first two commissions from affiliate marketing. I totaled 3 sales for the month and ever since, I’ve been hooked on making money online. While the site has developed to offer many other types of themes from daily deal themes to ecommerce themes for wordpress, our reviews are still a cornerstone and even that first post continues to bring in visitors.
Since starting TTFT, I’ve tested and tried quite a few different opportunities online, and always found that creating websites seemed to be the safest strategy. It’s not a strategy that’s as fast moving as paid advertisements, but neither is it as risky. I realized that if I could write one blog post that gets traffic month in and month out for months and months, that beats just about any other type of marketing out there. It’s as close to, “set it and forget it” as you can get.
The Move Into Network Marketing
With success in hand, I have recently ventured back into the network marketing industry after somewhat of a hiatus. While I’ve loved network marketing from the first time I joined a company in 2004 when I was 18, I never had enough willing prospects to talk to. The internet changes all of that though. Now, I can reach out and put a message in front of thousands of people every month for pennies on the dollar – so I do.
My first site that I’m working on in the industry is called The Sponsoring System which simply talks about multiple ways to generate leads for any networking business. The goal is to build an MLM system that generates leads automatically, because if you have enough leads coming in, it’s hard not to be successful in network marketing. For now, I’ve joined ViSalus and another company that won’t let me mention it’s name on the web, and I’m working to build both.
While these projects are cool, the web is a wide place and I can’t help but work on other mini-projects from time to time as well. I have two that are in the works currently, so I’ll update this page when I get them up and running.
